Improve Your Success At Anything With This One Simple Tip!

In order for you to be a success in the world of business, then you should know that it is important you just don’t sit back and relax when everything is actually going to plan. Any entrepreneur worth their salt knows that they must never stop developing and never think that they know everything about what they do in order to grow personally. As a consequence of them retaining these unwritten rules, their business will begin to flourish as well as the people running the business.

Your value is based on what you CAN do not the other way around

Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its  whole life believing it is stupid ~ Albert Einstein

Note #2: This was inspired by a conversation I had with someone I deeply love and respect, and who had some interesting questions about my coaching services and rates It really got me thinking about the meaning of things. It also reminded me of old chats, memories, and conversations where I *didnt* speak up for myself. You’re out there, pouring your heart into things every day, and these people, who only interact with you once in a while have nothin’ to say but poking holes, lobbing objections, and outright hatin’ on your dreams.

Is Your TV Making You Angry, Stupid and Shortening Your Life Span?

Your Television could be the source behind all of your stress.

Do you feel better after you watch those crappy reality shows?

Do you lie in bed at the end of the day already worried about tomorrow?

When you start the day by listening to the news and you hear about a robbery you begin to worry more for your safety and focus your attention on the bad things that might happen to you, increasing your stress level. What you focus your attention on comes into your life more often. The more attention you give to negative stories, the more negative things you will see around you and the more negative your life will become.

Why “Time out” are Stupid (and what to do instead)

take a time outEither you run the day or the day runs you. Jim Rohnnn
Have you ever noticed how busy life is? We all have so many responsibilities, things that need to be handled, errands that must be run, and issues that have to be resolved. It can really be a lot and often times we end up just running through the day – jumping from one thing to the next.

Use “Time Ins” to Put Everything Into Perspective

For just five minutes, you give yourself an extra boost of good energy and solely focus on feeling really good. You think about the things that make you smile, reflect on everything you appreciate, and remind yourself of all that you’ve already accomplished.

Our minds have a way of defaulting to the things that are “going wrong” or all the things we still have yet to do. It’s like one of my most favorite quotes explains –

How can you apply this to your life today?  Can you see the power in this simple little step?

How To Know If You Suck At Blogging

how to know if you suck

Well this is not my typical post since the title suggests is directed at bloggers but I bet you can find a way to make this apply to you and whatever business you are in.

How to know if you suck

I’m not saying you suck. You might not suck at all. If you aren’t getting enough traffic, it’s possible that you haven’t found a good traffic strategy. You might be too new, or you might just have gotten some unlucky breaks.

But let’s at least consider the possibility that your writing sucks. Let’s take a good, hard, honest look.

Now, even if you’re brand new and haven’t gotten much of an audience, I’m sure at least a few people are reading your posts. So, right now, think of those people… and eliminate your mom, dad, cousin, best friend, or anyone else who would tell you that your posts are great even if they aren’t. And then ask yourself some questions:

  • Are those people (even if there are only a few) sharing your posts without you asking them to do so? And when they share, what comments do they make when they share (i.e. “This is amazing!” vs. “Here is a useful post”)?
  • When people leave comments on your blog, are they raving comments, or are they noncommittal comments like, “You make an interesting point”?
  • Do you ever get comments, emails, tweets, or Facebook mentions that are similar to any of the following: “This is exactly what I needed right now,” “You’ve really opened my eyes,” “You said exactly what I was thinking,” “This is going to make a huge difference in my life/business,” or “This is absolutely amazing/astonishing/moving/awesome”?
  • Do you ever receive thanks for your posts? (I’m talking about literal thanks: “Thank you for writing this” or something similar. Note: “this was helpful” is not a thank-you.)
  • Do you ever get emails from readers in which they share their own personal stories that are similar to what you wrote about in your post?

Well, I have bad news. If you can’t answer yes to any of the above, there’s a decent chance you might suck as a writer.

If you suck you suck.  Chances are you probably already know it.  Or you know someone who needs to know it.  Send them a friendly message and share this post with them.

Or leave their name and contact information in the comments and I will send them a personal message informing them of their suckiness.  =-)

Is Stress Worse Than Having a Disease?

Stress is one of the chief impediments to a happy, satisfying lifestyle. While experiencing stress, our entire body is affected in both physical and mental ways. You have to tackle the stress that’s bothering you before you can meet your goals. Set a time each day to relax, to clear your mind, and be alone. Eventually, you will learn to look forward to this peaceful time every day.

Allowing stress into your life can be deadly.  It creeps in at unexpected times.  Causes you to act irrationally. It can even change you

eating habits.

The effects of stress are immeasurable!

There is a strong case that says stress just might be worse than having some sort of life threatening disease if it is undiagnosed!

Determine what obstacles are blocking your path to success. A lot of people are unable to do this without help. Having the ability to identify weakness is very important and can help us to make positive changes in our lives. If you can successfully remove a few obstacles, you might just see a clearer path to your future.
