Question by NONO: Need a good romance book with this theme please?
I’d like to review a book, a romance book to be exact, about a bookworm, nerdy type of woman falling in love with a dashing hero or a rake whatever you call them. Does such a book exist? if so please provide the name. I’ll be forever thankful for your help.

Where would the climax take place in a romance novel?

Question by Canuck: Where would the climax take place in a romance novel?
Where would a climax be in a romance novel?
Would it be the wedding scene, the love scene, a type of scene that would be like a musical montage you would see on a film, etc?
Do you know any ideas, or info of this?
Thanks!

What available romance books can I read?

Question by Taverealla: What available romance books can I read?
Well, I’m looking for a great book to read in my free time. I want people suggest books that I can read so that I know their well-known and have good reviews. So, I’m looking for romance, action, fantasy (like vampires and other supernatural beings) and the setting being in current times. I’ve already read the following: All the books in the Twilight series, all the books in the House of Night series and Fallen by Lauren Kate. What are other romance novels I can read? Please help!

Question by dgclip1981: Who are some good authors of romance?
I am planning on purchasing some books of eBay but I am not really sure who writes good romance novels. Who do you like?

Best answer:

Answer by Katalex
One writer who has come and then gone completely disappeared is Laurie McBain. I always found her romance novels to be an enjoyable read.

Another one that comes to mind is Kathleen Woodiwiss, some of her books, especially her older work is very good. Other I can suggest are: Johanna Lindsey and Elizabeth Lowell

EDIT: McBains books can also be purchased through Amazon, the reviews of her work are all 4 1/2 to 5 star. You won’t be disappointed

What is your favorite teen romance novel?

Question by : What is your favorite teen romance novel?
I’m 15 years old and I love reading. I’ve ran out of books and am looking for recommendations for a great teen romance novel.

I’ve read the Twilight series (who hasn’t) and am quite sick of vampires.
I’ve read most Sarah Dessen novels, Libba Bray’s, The Luxe series and others.

Suggestions are much appreciated, thanks! 🙂

This couple was quite photogenic, and I took lots of pictures of them. Unfortunately, after uploading the images to my computer, it looked as if the young woman wasn’t wearing any underwear … but I think this photo is okay.

Note: this photo was published as one of several illustrations in a May 2009 Squidoo blog titled "Best Romance Novels." It was also published in a Jul 13, 2009 blog titled "The Many Sources Of Aphrodisiacs." And it was published in a Jul 7, 2010 Dating Tips blog, with the same title as the caption that I used on this Flickr page. It was also published in an Oct 10, 2010 blog titled "2 Dating Tips For Women." And it was published in a Nov 23, 2010 blog titled "Men’s Basketball Hosts Northern Colorado Tuesday in the Leavey Center," but also with the same title and detailed notes as what I had written on this Flickr page. It was also published in a Dec 7, 2010 blog titled "The Different Romance Genres."

Moving into 2011, the photo was published in an undated (Feb 2011) New Zealand blog titled "Have no worries." And it was published in a Feb 14, 2011 Matador Network blog titled "What Makes a Moment Romantic, Anyway?" It was also published in an Oct 26, 2011 blog titled "Prime ten Most Important Health Ideas." And it was published in a Nov 3, 2011 blog titled "Would You Tell?"

Moving into 2012, the photo was published in a Feb 8, 2012 blog titled "83% of People Would Be Willing to Go on a First Date on Valentine’s Day." And it was published in a Mar 2, 2012 blog titled "Have No Worries."

Moving into 2013, the photo was published in an Apr 29, 2013 blog titled "Are You Offended When a Date Uses a Coupon on a Date?"

*****************************
This is the continuation of a photo-project that I began in the summer of 2008: a random collection of "interesting" people in a broad stretch of the Upper West Side of Manhattan — between 72nd Street and 104th Street, especially along Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue.

As I indicated when I started this project in 2008, I don’t like to intrude on people’s privacy, so I normally use a telephoto lens in order to photograph them while they’re still 50-100 feet away from me; but that means I have to continue focusing my attention on the people and activities half a block away, rather than on what’s right in front of me.

I’ve also learned that, in many cases, the opportunities for an interesting picture are very fleeting — literally a matter of a couple of seconds, before the person(s) in question move on, turn away, or stop doing whatever was interesting. So I’ve learned to keep the camera switched on (which contradicts my traditional urge to conserve battery power), and not worry so much about zooming in for a perfectly-framed picture … after all, once the digital image is uploaded to my computer, it’s pretty trivial to crop out the parts unrelated to the main subject.

Thus far, I’ve generally avoided photographing bums, drunks, crazies, and homeless people. There are a few of them around, and they would certainly create some dramatic pictures; but they generally don’t want to be photographed, and I don’t want to feel like I’m taking advantage of them. I’m still looking for opportunities to take some "sympathetic" pictures of such people, which might inspire others to reach out and help them. We’ll see how it goes …

The only other thing I’ve noticed, thus far, is that while there are lots of interesting people to photograph, there are far, far, far more people who are not so interesting. They’re probably fine people, and they might even be more interesting than the ones I’ve photographed … but there was just nothing memorable about them.
