Life and Business Optimization Tool-Short Version
By Generalist

A great life and great business result from mutually confident interactions with others. That confidence can be well founded, or based on manipulation. This document is intended for people who want to build confidence, or trust with others based on genuine concern for mutual needs. To build that trust, it is most useful to go beyond the usual techniques and be in touch with not only the shared interaction of the moment, but also the shared aspects of humanity and all life.

There are some fundamental choices we ALL make in conducting our lives.
The first is to decide if we want to control our own lives, or succumb to other people’s plans. The second is whether we believe that causes produce effects, or not. This document is intended for people who want to be responsible for their own lives and who accept that causes produce effects.

The question naturally arises. Which causes will lead to desirable effects? This document sums up the most concise and functional approach to these causes.

Please write down all the words of intangibles that attach to life such as love, imagination, dreams, life, hope, fear, hate etc. Then write down all the words that relate to the tangible aspects of life. Think of brain, body, table, car clouds, air, soil, and on and on. The inseparability of tangible and intangible aspects is summed up in the Japanese words Myo-ho. Why use Japanese words? The concepts discussed here were developed in China and Japan and cannot be expressed as succinctly in English

Write down all the words for causes you can think of and effects those causes can have. They are all summed up in the Japanese words Ren-ge. Causes simultaneously produce effects like the flower and the seed of the lotus

Everything is always changing. Write down all the words that come to mind about things changing-Clouds, faces, butterflies, concepts, and memories and on and on. They are all summed up in the Japanese word Kyo. Because everything is always changing, no one is stuck where shehe is.

The list of words and concepts that pertain to tangible and intangible, to causes and effects and to change can be endless and inefficient to use. The three words Myoho Renge Kyo include every aspect of life and exclude nothing. This is pragmatically observable by anyone. This formulation, used with focused intention, serves as a life and business improvement tool. The way to use it is to add the shortened Sanskrit verb for focusing intention and create Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. This is spoken repeatedly with the palms pressed together to close the energy circle. It releases delusions and limitations like vitamin C cures scurvy.
Since each person has unique paths and desires, there is no prescription for what people should focus on when they use the tool, as long as no harm is intended. Some want to bake a perfect soufflé. Others want to create a great company or a peaceful planet, or just get along with their partner. The human mind has vast possibilities to explore once we resolve the confusion.

Caveat: SGI does not use the term life and business optimization tool. That term is my attempt to express of the essence of the philosophy for consumers and entrepreneurs simultaneously.

I’m glad I’m not in college anymore. Of all the philosophies I’ve
studied, I find that theories, whether scientific, psychological, philosophical or ecclesiastical are just various speculations of life
based on the theorist’s personal observations and experience and
a far cry from the unpredicatable and visceral qualities of man on the whole. I personally think that trying to use psychology to optimize
business is an oxymoron. The majority of people work for others and
have no financial or emotional connection with helping someone else
make money. The greatest motivator for this is a big paycheck. As
far as entrepreneurs and consumers go, it’s buy low, sell high but
undercut everyone else in town. Simple.

Question by Bmoehs: What does stephen covey mean?
If someone offends you, take initiative to clear it up. It’s better not to take offense, whether intended or not. It’s best not to judge another at all but to forgive “seven times seventy,” if need be.But if we are offended and we can’t
fully forgive or resolve it inside, we should go to the other shortly
after the offense so reconciliation can take place.I give two
suggestions in taking the initiative.

what does the author mean? Do the words ” It’s better not to take offense ” mean ” It’s better to keep mute when someone offends you ” ?Thank you.

Answer by Crimson Chin
If you are offended by someone, don’t just let it go. He’s saying it’s best not to feel offended, but that’s silly because we are going to feel offended about things no matter what.

I don’t read these things because they don’t say anything. Covey is just trying to sell his book.

The One about Stephen R. Covey
Stephen Covey

In life, everyone encounters personal and professional problems. I was in my late teens and as much enthusiasm that I had in life and wanting to make the best of it, my life hit a speed bump after the death of my grandmother. Needless to say, I was out of it for awhile, until a group of friends, professionals who were concerned because I lost my energy, my drive, stepped in to get me out of that rut. My friends were positive and encouraging and were persistent (and blunt) in letting me know that I had to face adversity straight on. I was also given the book "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" and from that moment, I took the fundamentals featured in this book by Stephen Covey and took them to heart. I’ll always remember how much this book had an impact on me at the time and I’m grateful to author Stephen R. Covey for writing this wonderful book which inspired me but also inspiring many people all over the world who have read it. Rest in peace Stephen R. Covey.

I haven’t read Maxwell but Covey leaves me annoyed every time because he pumps you all up and makes you think you could bench-press the world. Ok then, why don’t we all?

He ignores the forces that tend to hold us back and makes no mention, accordingly, on how to deal with them – which would be prerequisite to empowering us to actually do anything other than feel like armchair lions. Where is the attention to what holds us back?

THAT, imo, would the the first step to actually empowering anyone.

Otherwise, all you’re doing is telling smokers that they smoke and fat people that they are fat. They already know all that and, trust me, worry about it more than any observer does. So why do they still have those bad habits? It’s not because they don’t KNOW something. It’s because of certain emotional needs – and those aren’t dealt with intellectually.

When is someone going to deal with that? Now THAT would be helpful, imo.
