what are your favourite motivational, inspirational and philosophical quotes?

Question by vic firth: what are your favourite motivational, inspirational and philosophical quotes?
I’m looking for ones that can really help you change your view on life, I really need motivation and inspiration.

My favourite one was said by Alden Nowlan; “The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult;

the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise.”

I discovered this in the music video to rest of my life by Less Than Jake a number of years ago and it still sends shivers down my spine. Feel free to share your views on this quote too for best answer 😉
Basically, with regards to best answer i’m looking for one or more quotes (quality, not quantity :P) that make you stop and think 🙂

– Mother Theresa

This reminds me to be grateful for those i love and not focus on those who despise me.This also makes me determined to spread love and kindness to those around me.
