It’s been a while.
If this blog feels a little different, that’s because it is. And I owe you an explanation.
The truth is, I abandoned this blog. I abandoned blogging in general. I even abandoned the audience I’d built over the last decade.
Somewhere along the lines, I lost my way. I forgot why I started doing this. And I got completely, totally, utterly burned out.
The whole dream was to quit my job to do something I loved. But somewhere along the lines, all I did was create myself another job.
One that I started to hate.
It felt like I was putting in 80-hour work weeks just to make less than I ever had before. My life became a mill of work, work, work. From the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep, I was chained to the computer, answering to demands.
My health started failing. My relationships started to crumble. I fell out of love with the business, the industry, and even the people I was serving.
I had built myself a digital cage. And I just couldn’t take it anymore.
It took a truly embarrassing, rock-bottom moment for me to finally see it clearly.
Years ago, after my first big “comeback,” my anchor, my “I made it” symbol, was a brand new, fully loaded Toyota Camry. Four miles on the odometer. Paid in cash. It was my baby. My pride.
Then, a real estate deal I was working on went south. A partner went behind my back, cut me out, and I lost everything I’d put into it.
But that wasn’t the rock-bottom moment.
The rock-bottom moment came a month later. It was the sound I heard at 2 AM. I ran outside in my underwear to see my baby, my beautiful Camry, being dragged down the street by a tow truck.
I didn’t have the money to get it out. I had no transportation. I just stood there, helpless, watching it disappear.
And in that moment of total failure, everything snapped.
That’s when I realized the hard truth: If you want different results, you can’t keep doing the same things.
That humiliating moment forced me to find a new way. It led me to learn how to do business without needing money or credit. It led to my first really simple launch online. It’s why I started “Coach Comeback” in the first place— to share the story of how you can lose everything and come back even stronger.
But I forgot that lesson. I fell back into the grind.
Until recently.
A friend of mine, a single mother, was struggling. With her finances, her kids, her mental health. We met for coffee, and I just talked to her. I shared some mindset tools. I showed her a simple way to launch a small business to help pay for her kid’s college tuition.
Within a week, she was up and running. She looked at me, beaming, and said, “You’ve completely changed my life.”
That. That was the feeling I missed. That was the reason I started this whole journey. Not the 80-hour weeks. Not the endless churn. The feeling of truly helping someone change their life.
And that’s why Coach Comeback is changing.
My new mission is clear. My renewed promise to you is simple. It’s my new tagline:
Ditching The Grind. Finding The Flow.
I’m here for the jaded marketer. The seasoned entrepreneur who’s been through the wringer and is one bad launch away from quitting.
From now on, this blog will be about:
- The Head Game: Winning the internal battles of imposter syndrome and fear.
- Friction & Flow: Eliminating the hidden obstacles that drain your energy.
- Authentic Influence: Connecting with people without the sleaze.
- Launch & Liberation: Turning a launch into a moment of transformation.
- Playful Profits: Making money without hating the process.
I’m back. I have a renewed faith and vigor. And I want to share that energy with you.
Thank you for being here. Welcome to the new Coach Comeback.
