Winterstorm Nemo Before And After Videos From My Home In New York

winterstorm Nemo 2013 videoWinterstorm Nemo has made it’s way through New York and I got it on video.

I was a little upset that they would name it after one of my favorite movies!  I find it hard to believe Nemo would ever cause me anything but good times.
I shot a quick video right as the first snow fall was starting and then a second the following day.
Quite a bit of snow for that short amount of time.
Did I tell you yet how much I LOOOOVE New York so far?
I have only been here 2 months and this is already the 4th time I have had to be barricaded in my house!

So far

  • No power outage
  • No fallen trees
  • No missing animals
  • Lots of snuggling
  • In great company
  • Movie watching with the fam

Overall I would have to say it was kinda nice.
Got a good workout shoveling snow. Much needed.
Snagged an official NY Pie before it got really heavy.
Didn’t have to leave the house for anything so it actually didn’t bother me at all. So, as it turns out, Nemo is still my fav!
Any of you have a different experience?
What is the weather like where you are right now?

    Great Vid P.
Wish I had someone to snuggle with here in my condo in CT – getting caught up on some writing time though!
I JUST got shoveled out at 4:00 PM – 3 ft up to my front and back doors!! Still a warning here to not be on the roads so that the plows can do their job! X-cntry skiing tomorrow… : – )

WOW! That’s crazy! Nothing a good bottle of wine and dedicated writing to get you lost and set you free for hours. Works wonders. Something only writers by heart will ever understand.
We barely got 2 feet and I kinda live on a major road so it’s almost always plowed!
Keep me posted on CT Lori. Stay warm

    That’s awesome!
I know a lot of people will think I’m crazy for what I’m about to say, but whatever! I am jealous! haha. I have lived in Florida all my life. I have no idea what a real winter looks like (Haven’t turned my AC off all winter, and sleep with two fans on!). I have only experienced snow once (here in FL in ’89. We made a 6 in. snowman).
I am determined that I will eventually live in a northern state for at least one year. If I hate it like everyone thinks I will, that’s fine and dandy. At least I will be able to say, “I tried it. I don’t like it.”
But aside from the snow shoveling, I don’t think I’d hate it quite as much as people think I will. I like cold. I hate sweating lol.
