Google Shutting Down RSS Reader – Best Reader Alternate

I PANICKED!
You see… I have been using Google reader for over a year now.  It has been one of my many “secret” weapons I discuss in my Free 100 Sexy Content Ideas eCourse.
When setup properly (which I go over in the course) can be a goldmine for knowing EXACTLY what is current and what your readers are most interested in.
Simply “check in” on what’s going on without all the fuss of random crap you get from normal search results  and DONT EVEN get me started on Google News!

Google Reader RSS Alternative

Google announced today that they will be shutting down Google Reader. This is something we have been expecting for some time: We have been working on a project called Normandy which is a feedly clone of the Google Reader API – running on Google App Engine. When Google Reader shuts down, feedly will seamlessly transition to the Normandy back end. So if you are a Google Reader user and using feedly, you are covered: the transition will be seamless.
If you are a Google Reader, give feedly a try before July 1st, and you will be able to migrate seamlesly:

Winterstorm Nemo Before And After Videos From My Home In New York

winterstorm Nemo 2013 videoWinterstorm Nemo has made it’s way through New York and I got it on video.

I was a little upset that they would name it after one of my favorite movies!  I find it hard to believe Nemo would ever cause me anything but good times.
I shot a quick video right as the first snow fall was starting and then a second the following day.
Quite a bit of snow for that short amount of time.
Did I tell you yet how much I LOOOOVE New York so far?
I have only been here 2 months and this is already the 4th time I have had to be barricaded in my house!

So far

  • No power outage
  • No fallen trees
  • No missing animals
  • Lots of snuggling
  • In great company
  • Movie watching with the fam

Overall I would have to say it was kinda nice.
Got a good workout shoveling snow. Much needed.
Snagged an official NY Pie before it got really heavy.
Didn’t have to leave the house for anything so it actually didn’t bother me at all. So, as it turns out, Nemo is still my fav!
Any of you have a different experience?

Do you take advice from people who have no idea what they are even saying?
Do you take advice from people about things in your life they have NEVER experience ever?!?!?
STOP IT!
Every time you want to try something new everybody has an opinion!  Even though they know nothing about what you are doing.
Everybody knows a guy, who knew a guy, that tried what you want to try and they lost a leg or something.
Next time …
Stop them mid sentence and say if you haven’t actually done what you are telling me not to do, please keep your opinion to yourself.
Or as Christie so eloquently put it “SHUT UP”
